From April through October, Pontefract Races are the place to be in West Yorkshire. The ticket grants 2 adults and any number of children under 16 access to the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure.

Additionally, there are always entertainments Family Days. It should be noted that the Family Tickets are not for the Picnic Enclosure Car Park, although once in the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure, kids will be allowed into the picnic area to enjoy the entertainments. The festivities for the young and young at heart on Family Sundays include a fun fair, marching band, face painting and even a circus, just to mention a few of the distractions.

If the weather is hot, you’ll appreciate the air-conditioned environment while having great views of the action from balconies which overlook the winning post, winners’ enclosure and the parade ring. As with all areas of the track, from the picnic area to the Silver, Grandstand and Premier Enclosures, there are tote facilities right on hand, so you won’t have to be away from your table for more than a minute. If you are, it doesn’t really matter since your table is booked for the duration of the meeting.
